Born in 1961, François Halard studied at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris and then, after he gratuate, he moved to work to Conde Nast under the direction of Alex Liberman. He now lives and Works between New York, Paris et Arles, and regurlarly collaborâtes with Vogue and Vanity Fair. He is the author of La Maison de verre (Actes Sud, 2007), Lieux de la reine (Thames & Hudson, 2005) and Villa Malaparte (Actes Sud, 2003). He also collaborated on the book Vogue Living : House, Gardens, People 2007 as well as the calatogue Blooming, a scattering of blossoms and other things by Cy Twombly for Lambert collection (Gallimard, 2007).
He splits his time between homes in New York and France.
