Sylvain Cabouat was born and raised in south of France in the Luberon region. From a family of painters and sculptors, he was naturally interested in the arts.
He moved to Paris at the age of 18 to attend art school, and specialized in molding and modeling pieces for special effects using plaster, silicon, and resin.
After he finished school he began assisting on movies, tv commercials and music videos doing set design, and after a few years started doing his own jobs as a prop stylist and set designer.
Four years ago Sylvain was introduced to doing print work in the fashion world as the prop stylist on a shoot with Javier Vallhonrat and has never looked back!
He continues to work on movies, and music videos, as well as special projects making custom design furniture and event spaces.
His latest endeavor is the design of his son Felix Sharkey Cabouat, born January 6th 2012 in Paris.
