Sante D’Orazio is an American photographer. His provocative combination of erotica and celebrity established his work at the heyday of the Supermodel era, which ultimately made him a fashion world icon.

In the early 2000s, D’Orazio adapted his then signature style to better fit with his roots in fine arts.  A significant project from this transition is Priests, a tongue-in-cheek series of portraits featuring prominent contemporary artists as ordained ministers. Completed in 2007, Priests features Matthew Barney, Maurizio Cattelan, George Condo, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, and others. The series was inspired by the photographer’s Catholic upbringing, and portrays modern-day makers as leaders who generate sacred objects of worship.

His publications include: A Private View, Sante D’Orazio Photographs, Pam: American Icon, Katlick School, Gianni and Donatella and Barely Private.
